Two females from Bangladesh were apprehended at the Agartala train station in Tripura.

On Thursday, officials at Tripura’s Agartala train station announced the arrest of two ladies from Bangladesh who were allegedly caught entering India illegally.The women were detained at Agartala Railway Station after they had crossed the border from Bangladesh with the intention of taking a train to another state.

Rabbana Akter (20) and Asma Khatun (22), the two ladies, claimed to have entered India illegally from Bangladesh and intended to take a train to another state.

The Railway Protection Force (RPF), the Government Railway Police (GRP), the Border Security Force (BSF), and intelligence services reportedly worked together to make the arrests.

The Agartala GRP Police Station has taken their case, and they are scheduled to appear in court on Friday, they said.This incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding illegal immigration and border security in the region.
