Agartala, 3rd July: A large number of families become homeless in Tripura due to incessant rainfall for the last 48 hours causing flash floods.
Emergency team was sent to help the homeless people
Many houses of Tripura were destroyed due to heavy rain. Local administration gave assistance to the distressed families at the initial stage. After that, the emergency team reached the place and tried to control the situation. Rescue operations were made by the emergency team to save the lives of affected people.
20 relief camps were made to give shelter
According to a report, more than 2300 people belonging to 556 families were shifted to relief camps. 20 relief camps were set up by the emergency team for providing temporary shelter to the homeless people. The families were transferred to the relief camps made in Khowai and Sephajhila districts of Tripura.
The Assam government has assured to help the people
The Assam Government has assured to provide help to the needy people who became homeless due to the flash flood in Tripura. A team was made to look into the matter and give assistance to the homeless people.
