Agartala, 3rd July: Tripura MLA Brishaketu Debbarma resigned on Tuesday showing some personal reasons. Debbarma represented the Simna Assembly constituency in West Tripura district and was a part of IPFT.
The Speaker and CM will meet Debbarma in this regard
The Speaker and CM of Tripura are very much disappointed with the decision of Debbarma and decided to meet him today. The Speaker confirmed that he had received the resignation letter from the MLA and also informed that he cannot accept the resignation as it was not submitted to him at the Assembly in person.
The Speaker refuses to accept the resignation
He said, “This letter came to me through a messenger. This is not something to be submitted through a messenger. Debbarma will have to hand it over to me in the Assembly if I have to accept it”. Debbarma said that he has resigned due to some personal reason.
Any specific reason for resigning was not mentioned
MLA requested the speaker in the resignation letter, “I would like to request you kindly to consider this as my resignation letter”.He did not mention any specific reason for the resignation.
