9 BJP ruled States announced additional cut in fuel price
Nine BJP-ruled states such as Assam, Tripura, Manipur, Karnataka, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand announced that additional cuts in petrol and diesel prices will be done. The decision was taken hours after the Centre reduced excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 5 and Rs 10.
Assam Tripura Manipur Karnataka and Goa reduced the prices by Rs 7 per litre in addition
It is also praisable that Assam, Tripura, Manipur, Karnataka and Goa reduced the prices of both petrol and diesel by ₹ 7 per litre in addition to the Centre’s relief.
The chief ministers of the states discussed about their reduction decisions
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday said that the Value Added Tax (VAT) on petrol would be reduced by ₹ 2 per litre in the state. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur said his government would also reduce (VAT) on petrol and diesel. The initiative of BJP government can be very helpful for the states.
