The Forest Range Officers seized two illegal band saw mills in Assam

Guwahati, 6th July: The Forest Range Officer seized two illegal band saw mills in Barpeta road of Barpeta district, Assam. After detection of the illegal saw mills, the forest range officer took the decision of dismantling the two saw mills.

The FRO seized the illegal sawmills

The FRO along with his personnel dismantled the illegal band saw mills. The FRO informed that the saw mills were operated at Banglai village falling under Sarbhog Beat Office. After the seizure of the illegal sawmills, he was brought to the departmental safe custody. The mills were shut down and seized by the officials.

The Forest Minister issued a strict directive

Besides this, the Forest Minister, Parimal Suklabaidya had issued a strict directive to the officials of the department. His goal behind the directive is to intensify the drive against illegal band saw mills in Assam.

The CM assured to take preventive measures

The CM of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma praised the work of Assam forest department. He has also assured to take preventive measures as soon as possible so that the illegal activities in Assam can be reduced
