The first lady physiotherapist from Manipur died due to Covid-19 difficulties

Ranjita who was 40-year-old passed away as a result of the viral disease Covid-19 in a hospital in Imphal on Friday.On the 16th of May, after she tested positive for the infection, Ranjita was admitted to Raj Medicity hospital in Imphal.

As per the death report issued by the hospital, She passed away due to the disease around 4 am on Friday after having a cardiopulmonary arrest following severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).

As a result of this deadly virus, She leaves behind her three-year-old son and her husband alone. As per the order issued by the Imphal East deputy commissioner with regards to the disposal of dead bodies, Ranjita’s family members did not want to claim her mortal remains. They requested the district administration to dispose of the body as per COVID-19 protocol. After that Ranjita was cremated at the Imphal Municipal Corporation (IMC) crematorium after she passed.

According to the All Manipur Physio Therapist Association (AMPA), Khumanthem was working at the AVRI Special Child Development Centre in Imphal.
