The Central government announces Rs 1,300 crore package for Northeastern states

Guwahati, 18th August: The Central government has announced a financial package of Rs 1,300 crore to the Northeastern states. The main motive behind this help is to help the states to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

Health ministers of all the Northeastern states were also in support of the help

Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced on Tuesday that financial help will be provided to the north-eastern states. This financial help will support the Northeastern States to give a drive to the vaccination drive.

Required medicines will also be purchased

The fund will be provided to purchase medicines,, increase beds and enhance oxygen supply at local and district-level hospitals. The poor and needy people will be very much benefited by the health facilities given by the government using the financial help.

The vaccination drive will also be supported through this financial help

The fund will support the vaccination drive so that the pandemic situation can be controlled as soon as possible. The government of India is committed to provide enough vaccines to the states. Government have assumed the north-eastern states to keep calm as the Central government is always with them.
