Sonitpur Police seized bull-laden truck and arrested three persons

Guwahati, 10th November: Sonitpur Police seized 40 bull calves from a truck. It is one of the greatest achievements of Sonitpur Police that they have managed to reduce the activities.

The truck was at the check post

The truck was  bearing registration number AS 01 GC 2487 at the check post near Kaliabhomora bridge under Barghat OP of Tezpur Police station. They were brought from 18 Mile under Chariduwar PS to Rupahi in Nagaon district.

The three accused persons are infentified

Three persons, namely Abul Basar of Gunabari village under Rupahi PS, Habijul Islam. The three persons belong to Lumding and Arki Dakhar of Narking of West Jayantia Hills in Meghalaya have been apprehended in this connection.

Further investigation is going on

A case vide Tezpur PS case no 2461/21 u/s 379/411 IPC r/w Sec 11(d)/(e) /(f) of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act has been registered and further investigation is going on. The Assam Government is also very much to happy to see the improvement of legal activities in the state.
