The Assam government has said that schools will remain closed even after the summer vacation in the state in view of Covid-19. In such a situation, the administration has been instructed to take steps to organize online classes.
Order for arrangement of online classes :
B Kalyan Chakraborty, Principal Secretary, Secondary Education Department, has ordered the district administration officials to make arrangements for online classes so that there is continuity in the teaching process of the students. The summer vacation in schools ended on June 14.
Chakraborty has asked the directors of secondary and primary education, all school inspectors and other officers of the department and heads of government and private schools to take steps to organize online classes till further orders. The order was issued on Monday and became effective immediately.
The government had extended the summer vacation from May 15 to June 14 ahead of schedule due to the second wave of the coronavirus epidemic. The summer vacation is usually from 1st to 31st July.
3678 new cases of Covid-19 reported in Assam on Monday :
According to a bulletin of the National Health Mission, 3678 new cases of coronavirus were reported in Assam on Monday and 43 infected people died. According to this, after new cases of coronavirus in the state, the total number of infected has increased to 463175, while the death toll has reached 3994.
