Project Aagaz makes schools safe amid COVID pandemic

Gangtok, 17th September: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on Sunday launched a project which will make schools safe amid the pandemic of covid-19.

Health and hygiene in the school premises will also be maintained

Project Aagaz will make school environments safe. The objectives of this project are to maintain health and hygiene measures, and extend psychosocial and nutritional support to students to strengthen their overall health and well-being in the wake of the ongoing COVID pandemic.

Training to the students, teachers and caregivers will be given

One of the officials said that under this project, approximately 900 students, 300 teachers, 75 caregivers, and 200 community level workers from all the districts of the state are going to be trained about how to adapt and keep pace with the ‘new normal’. Until the situation becomes totally normal the project will help the students as well as the teachers to cope up with the new situation.

The Sikkim government is very much helpful with the project

It is hoped that the project Agaz will help the students as well as the teachers to cope up with the new situation after the pandemics of covid-19. The project will be successful only when the support of the students, parents , teachers and the caregivers are received.
