Police complaint is filed against the CM of Arunachal Pradesh

Itanagar, 3rd July: Opposition party filed police complaint against the CM of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu and Union minister Kiren Rijiju.

Misrepresentation of the location lead to a chaos

The reason found behind the allegation is misrepresentation of the Kimin town of Arunachal Pradesh as part of Assam in a function attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh last month. Rajnath Singh, Pema Khandu, Kiren Rijiju and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma were present in the e-inauguration of the 20-km Kimin-Potin road and 11 other roads on 17th June.

The BRO was also involved in this misrepresentation

The roads were constructed by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) at Kimin town of Papum Pare district. According to a report of the Ministry of Defence it is known that the event was held in Assam’s Lakhimpur district. The sign boards used by BRO also did not mention anything specific about the location. BRO has accepted its mistake and has apologised for such a big mistake.

Seven politicians filed the case

The complaint was signed by seven politicians regarding the misrepresentation of the place. Among the seven politicians two were from People’s Party of Arunachal, two from the JD(U), one from the JD(S) and two from Congress.
