Petrol bomb thrown at the private residence of Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma

Shillong, 16th August: A petrol bomb was hurled at the private residence of Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K Sangma. The bomb was thrown at the Third Mile in Upper Shillong on Sunday night.

Telecommunication services has been suspended for 48 hours

Two Molotov cocktail bottles were hurled at the premises of chief minister Sangma’s residence at Third Mile.  It was reported that the entire incident took place at 10:15 p.m. Telecommunication services have been suspended for 48 hours at East Khasi Hills, West Khasi Hills, South West Khasi Hills and Ri-Bhoi

Judicial enquiry has been requested to resolve the issue

Meghalaya Home Minister Lahkmen Rymbui resigned in wake of the violence in the state. He demanded immediate judicial enquiry for the incident that happened yesterday.  He also showed his resentment against the increasing number of a social activities in the state.

The  Meghalaya government is very concerned about the incident

The police departments have to be more powerful so that these kinds of incidents cannot happen in the coming future. CM of Meghalaya showed his concern and assured the citizens about increased safety in the state.
