One army jawan killed and ten injured in Arunachal Pradesh

Itanagar,15th July An Indian army jawan was killed and ten injured after their truck fell into a deep gorge at Upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh.

Four of them were critically injured

The accident occurred on Wednesday morning when the army truck was on its way to Tuting army camp. The truck was carrying 11 jawans and the accident led to the death of one of them. Four jawans were critically injured and they are struggling at hospital. One official informed that a jawan who belonged to the 4th Sikh Light Infantry Regiment died on the spot.

Critically injured were sent to hospital for further treatment

One of the critically injured jawan was admitted at Dinjan Army Base Hospital at Tinsukia district of Assam. Other three were admitted to the Army Base Hospital in Guwahati. They were in a very critical situation and are still fighting in hospitals.

Compensation will be given to the family of the dead

Six of the injured had very minor injuries and were sent to Tuting by road. The Arunachal Pradesh government has assured compensation for the family of the dead jawan.
