National Investigation Agency recovers exclusive materials on Assam-Mizoram boundary

Aizawl, 18th November: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has conducted an investigation against their campaign to reduce criminal activities in North eastern states.

Two explosions took place in the Assam mizoram border area

The agency also recovered three suspects in southern Assam’s Hailakandi District in connection with two explosions in the area in August. The team recovered incriminating documents, digital devices and other materials.

One of the explosions occurred near a primary school

One of the officials of the agency said that the two separate explosions had occurred in Pakua Punjee Lower Primary School. The other one took place near the house of one Dilwar Hussain Mazumdar on August 13 near Assam-Mizoram border. This was really threatening for the local people and it created a sensation among the people living beside Assam Mizoram border.

6 Assam police personnel were dead in this accident

The explosions were triggered after an over two-week stand-off between the two neighbouring states. It is also known that the explosions took place on the inter-state border following the worst-ever violence on the Assam Mizoram border on 2nd July. This caused six Assam Police personnel dead. Moreover, around 100 civilians and security personnel of the two states got injured.
