Nagaland government distributed relief material to laborers facing economic crisis

Due to the lock down in Nagaland, the workers are facing a financial crisis to a great extent. However, to help the daily wage laborers, the state government has started providing relief material.

30 thousand daily wage laborers to get the benefit

The Nagaland government said that the relief material packet contains rice, pulses, oil, soap and other essential items. State Home Department Principal Secretary R. Ramakrishnan said that at least 30 thousand daily wage laborers will get the benefit of the relief material scheme worth Rs 550.

 

Materials in Relief Packet :

 Each relief material packet contains 10 kg rice, one kg pulses, sugar, salt and onion and garlic, half liter mustard oil, 200 grams tea leaves, two pieces of bath and washing soap, 100 grams spices and chilli sachets.

The havoc of the coronavirus is slowly starting to subside, but the state governments are still taking steps to help the common people.

 

Lockdown extend till 18th June in Nagaland :

Meanwhile, the Nagaland government on Wednesday announced to extend the lockdown period till June 18. The announcement has been done with some relaxations in the restrictions in view of the Corona situation in the state. The lockdown period has been extended for the third time in the state.
