Mizoram: Government has extended Lockdown in the state till 30th June

Mizoram, 19th June: The Government of Mizoram has decided to extend the lockdown till 4 a.m. of 30th June. Increasing number of covid-19 patients has compelled the government to take such a decision. However, less restrictions would be introduced this time so that common people can get some facilities.

Rules imposed for the extended lockdown

People in Aizawl municipal corporation are not allowed to step out from their homes during the lockdown session. Only the employees of the office or people having emergency cases are allowed to step out. Inter village movement outside the AMC will be functional without any restrictions.

Different services will be provided on different days

Shops dealing with essential commodities will be allowed to open between 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. in the AMC areas. Whereas, vegetable and meat shops can only be opened on Friday from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.. shops dealing with agricultural seeds and equipment will remain open from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m..

Emergency services will be exempted from lockdown

Hospitals, dispensaries , clinics, banks, animal feed stores and LPG store houses are exempted from this extended lockdown. It is expected that the extended lockdown will be beneficial for the common people in terms of medical safety.
