Four minor girls of Assam rescued from Rajasthan and UP

Guwahati, 26th June: The Assam police has rescued four minor girls of Assam from the states of Rajasthan and UP. The four girls who were rescued in a multi state operation, were victims of human trafficking.

The CM of Assam tweeted praising Assam Police

The CM of Assam, Himanta biswa Sharma tweeted after getting the news, “Kudos Assam Police! In a smart multi-state op @KamrupPolice has rescued 4 girls of Assam who had been trafficked. They were rescued from Jaipur, Rajasthan & Gomti Nagar, UP.”

Girls were sent for medical evaluation

According to the police sources, the minor girls were Smt Joyaton Nessa, Smt Marjina & Sri Faijuddin. The girls were sent for medical evaluation after the rescue. A team under the guidance of district Additional Superintendent of Police Asif Ahmed and Officer in Charge of Chaygaon police station Kopil Pathak reached Rajasthan and UP to rescue the girls.

Mr. Sharma gave strict orders to reduce antisocial activities

The team rescued the minor girls and also Arrested the three traffickers. Mr. Sharma has given strict orders to the Assam Police to look into the matters and work hard to reduce antisocial activities in Assam.
