FIR registered against contractor and engineers for draining off more than 52 lakhs showing fake bills

Dhubri, 11th July: The rural work department of Assam is entirely shocked to find out that two engineers and one contractor of the department is involved in siphoning off more than 52 lakhs.

Two engineers and one contractor were found to drain off more than 52 lakhs

Deputy Commissioner Anbamuthan M P, the Chief Executive Officer of Dhubri Zila Parishad and the Project Director of District Rural Development Agency Animesh Talukdar filed a FIR against the two engineers and contractor of Rural work department of Assam.

Fake bills of more than 52 lakhs were shown by the accused

The two engineers are identified as Saddam Hussain and Abdullah Ali Masud. Both of them belong to Gauripur Development Block. The trio was alleged for draining off more than 52 lakhs by showing false bill vouchers.The two persons were accused for clearing bills worth Rs 52.72 lakh of the contractor, Jahidul Haque.

Rural work department of Assam cleared all the fake bills

The department cleared all the fake bills without conducting any investigation. However no one has been arrested till now. The Assam rural work department is investigating to become more clear about the matter.
