Desh Bhakti Divas celebrated in Assam on the occasion of death anniversary of Deshbhakta Tarun Ram Phukan

Guwahati, 30th July: Desh Bhakti Divas was observed across the state of Assam. The program to celebrate the occasion was held in the North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) secretariat complex. The program was arranged to honour Desh Bhakta Tarun Ram Phukan on his 82nd death anniversary.

Many eminent people were present in this program

Principal Secretary of NCHAC, LZ Nampui and Principal Secretary, Mukut Kemprai, along with other Council Secretaries were also present in this program. They all paid floral tribute during the programme in the honour of Deshbhakt Tarun Ram Phukan.

The six Assam police Cops died in Assam Mizoram border dispute were also remembered in this program

The six Assam Police personnel who lost their lives in the recent Assam-Mizoram border incident were also remembered.  Principal Secretary L Z Nampui talked about patriotism, unity and love for the motherland India.

The life history of the great personality was also cited in the program

The life history of the multifaceted personality was also depicted by the principal secretary. She talked about Tarun Ram Phukan as a politician, writer and freedom fighter. Principal Secretary of the Normal sector of NCHAC, Mukut Kemprai also gave his views about the life of the great personality.
