CM Launches Beneficial Schemes For COVID Orphans.

Guwahati, June 10: Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswas Sharma handed over a cheque of Rs. 3500 along with the document of fixed deposit of 7.81 lakh. He also distributed a laptop to each orphan child due to the pandemic of covid-19. CM has announced that all the 11 orphaned children will be given Rs. 3,500 each month till the age of 24 years.

 

Chief minister relief fund taking the responsibility of the scheme :

Mr. Sharma announced in front of the media persons that more children with the same conditions are being investigated to make them a part of this scheme. After the age of 24, they will get the principal amount too. CM announced that the money will be spent from the chief minister’s relief fund.

One time assistance to the widowed woman :

Besides this, Mr. Sharma announced Rs. 2.5 lakh as one-time assistance for the widowed women who have lost their husbands due to coronavirus. They would also be given the benefit of the Arunodoi scheme offering them a monthly pension besides the scheme of one-time assistance.

Assam Government is targeting more orphaned children :

Mr. Sharma said, ‘ We hope our Sishu Seva Scheme would help the orphaned child who has lost their parents suffering from Covid-19.’ He also added that high attention is being given by the State government to complete the first dose of vaccine to the entire population of Assam within 15th August 2021. The government of Assam is trying hard to make the population free from the dangerous consequences of coronavirus. More such schemes would be soon come in front of the citizens suffering from the pandemic situation.
