Bongaigaon police held 4 drug smugglers, seized 60000 narcotic tablets

Bongaigaon, 20th August: Bongaigaon police made a huge contribution in the war against the drug smuggling cases in Assam. They had arrested four accused smugglers in a span of 24 hours.

More than 60000 narcotic tablets are recovered by the police

Police nabbed a total of four persons and recovered more than 60,000 narcotic tablets. Further investigation is still going on to know whether any other narcotic substances are stored or not. Bongaigaon Superintendent of Police informed that police intercepted four persons on Wednesday night. He also informed that they were nabbed on the basis of previous information.

The police department managed to identify the four persons

The nabbed persons have been identified as Imdadul Huque (28), Jiyarul Hoque (27), Mohirul Islam (26) and Golbar Hussein (28). All the food persons are residents of Assam.

A case was registered against the four accused people

Bongaigaon Police conducted a raid in the house of Jiyarul Hoque and recovered 264 capsules of Sampex. 396 SPSPHEN tablets were also recovered from his house. A case in this regard has been registered at Jogighopa PS (Case No 295/2021 U/S-22(c) 25/29 NDPS Act).
