Assam: Enforcement Officer arrested for being involved in coal scam

Guwahati, 21st October: Enforcement inspector Bhaba Kalita was arrested by the Cachar Police for his involvement in the coal scam. He was alleged for being a part of Coal smuggling. The Cachar Police has decided to fight against the incidents of Coal smuggling in the Barak Valley.

Corrupt police officials helped in the smuggling cases

Many places in Cachar District are the illegal smuggling gateway for the smugglers. It is also informed that the police officials give the smugglers the passage to load the truck with their smuggling products. The police officer was also arrested for this and he was the officer in charge of Digarkhal.

Superintendent of police started immediate operational activities

Superintendent of Police, Cachar, Ramandeep Kaur has launched operational activities to deal with these issues as soon as possible. It is also ensured that these kinds of activities would not be repeated again.

The arrested police officers were also interrogated

The arrested police officer was also interrogated for more than 24 hours so that the real victims can be caught. Assam police are highly active to deal with this issue and take preventive measures within no time.
