Assam: Class 10 and 12 Board Exams Canceled due to increase in Covid 19 cases

Assam, 19th June: The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswas Sharma announced that class 10 and 12 board exams will be cancelled. The main reason behind the cancellation of the exams is the increasing positivity rate of covid-19 in Assam.

Announcement of results will be on 31st July

Assam education minister, Rajon Pegu informed that the results of class 10 and 12 board exams will be announced on 31st July. He also assured that the students need not to worry because the results will not be subjective. Two committees will be formed by the Assam Government to introduce the evaluation system for the students. It is being expected that a record based approach will be used to make the results of the students.

The chief minister of Assam has strictly informed that any exam will not be conducted if the positivity rate doesn’t decrease in Assam. The committee will submit their suggestions to the Assam government within 2 weeks. After getting the report of the committee, the education department of Assam will work to declare the result of class 10 and 12 boards.

Exams can be conducted if the positivity rate decreases

The CM has strictly informed to postpone the board exams. Until the positivity rate of covid-19 does not decrease below 2%, it is not possible to take the exams.
