Akhil Gogoi Announces Protest Against Assam’s new Cattle Preservation Act

Guwahati, 20th August: MLA and Raijor Dal president Akhil Gogoi announced a protest against the new Assam Cattle Preservation Act.

He announced the protest in a press conference program

Gogoi, on Friday, addressed a press conference and announced his protest programme. He alleged that the new Act would badly hit the farmers of the state. He also said that they would launch a protest against the new cattle preservation act from Jonai.

The farmers are already suffering due to the pandemic situation of covid-19

Gogoi also said, “The Assam Chief Minister is doing communal politics. His communal politics will cost dearly our indigenous farmers who have already suffered due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. We will strongly protest the new Assam Cattle Preservation Act, 2021.”

The farmers should get more focus from the side of Central Government

Gogoi has appealed to the central government for the development of the state, especially the situation of the farmers. He has shown his resentment against the new cattle preservation bill. He appealed to home minister Amit Shah for taking the matter into consideration and giving the required solutions based on the current situation.
