Agriculture Department distributed seedlings among flood affected farmers

Morigaon, 13th August: A seedling distribution programme was organized by the Morigaon District Agriculture Department on Friday. The Agriculture Department of Morigaon district has initiated the distribution program at Ouzari Seed Farm.

The agriculture Department distributed seedlings of paddy crops

The department distributed seedlings of paddy crops to help the farmers in their agriculture activities. A nursery has been developed by the agriculture department for the help of the farmers. It has been created for the flood-affected farmers under RKVY 20-21.

Special variety of paddy seedlings has been distributed among the farmers

Agriculture Officer Deepjyoti Hazarika distributed the variety of Bahadur sub-1 among the farmers. Besides this other important crops have also been decided to be sent for the benefit of the farmers during the pandemic situation.

The flood affected farmers will surely give some relief

The farmers have started planting the seedling of the paddy crops on 3 ha land. The initiative taken by the department will surely provide some relief to the flood-affected farmers. The Assam government is very much concerned about the difficult situation of the farmers and the Assam CM has assured that all the possible things will be done to improve the condition of the farmers.
