Agartala, 23rd June: A total of 8 oxygen generation plants were installed in the states of Nagaland, Meghalaya and Tripura. It is expected that this initiative will help the state governments to manage the pandemic situation in a better way.
Japanese government and UNDP helped in this initiative
This installation of 8 oxygen generation plants was possible with the collaborative help of the Japanese Government and the UNDP. These oxygen generation plants have the capacity to serve more than 1300 beds at a time. More patients suffering from covid-19 can be served and treated. Three district hospitals were chosen to install the eight oxygen plants.
State districts hospitals were provided by required oxygen supply
Principal secretary to the government of Meghalaya health, family and welfare department; Sampath Kumar expresses his gratitude towards the Japanese Government and UNDP for providing PSA oxygen plants in the state districts hospitals of Tura, Jowai and Nongpoh.

Japanese government has assured further help in the coming future
Mr. Kumar said that these 8 oxygen plants will be beneficial for delivering a better treatment to the covid-19 patients. Japanese government has assured to always support India to fight against the pandemic situation.
