Itanagar, 25th July: The Government of Arunachal Pradesh signed a MoU with IIM Shillong to work as knowledge partners. The MoU was signed on Friday between Arunachal Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar and IIM Shillong Director Prof D P Goyal. Chief Minister Pema Khandu was also present during this MoU.

The main objective behind the memorandum of understanding is to work as a knowledge partner so that the capacity of government officials can be increased. Besides this, the Arunachal government also wants a satellite center in the state along with some important policy interventions.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu is very happy with this MoU and said, “Capacity building is the most important aspect of governance and IIM Shillong is the best in the region in this context.”
Human resource development and economic intervention will be two main objectives of this satellite centre
He also said that the satellite Centre will be very much beneficial for the state and it will work on various important sectors like health, tourism. Both economic intervention and human resource development are focused by the satellite centre.
